Hi Doc, welcome to the family. I have imported some Savages from Germany and Holland (ooops.. the Netherlands !)to Finland, inside Europa, and there are some regulations and important papers.. Exporting a bike to USA from Europa doesn't seem like a good idea, since the Savages cost about the same in Germany and USA. Plus, the paperwork is at times a pain in the ass. If I were you, I'd forget about it. The American Savage differs from the European model in two ways : The lights automatically goes on when you start the bike on American models, and the cylinder volume is 4 cm3
bigger (maybe that is only in the papers, not in reality).
